Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 500.30 points or 0.69 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,406.02 signifying a gain of 355.64 points or 0.49 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.91 per cent, power gained 0.67 and auto rose by 0.69 per cent.
Meanwhile, Rain Industries Ltd, Aegis Logistics Ltd and KPI Green Energy Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Rain Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.78 per cent to trade at Rs 194.60 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Aegis Logistics Ltd rallied 5.75 per cent to trade at Rs 449.95 apiece. The stock rallied as the board approved 2nd Interim dividend of 200 per cent i.e. Rs 2 per equity share of face value of Re 1/- during the FY24 and has fixed Friday, February 23, 2024 as the Record Date for the purpose of payment. The dividend shall be paid on or before Friday, March 15, 2024.
KPI Green Energy Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.00 per cent to trade at Rs 1479.15 apiece. The company recently announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary has received a new order for a 1.5-MW solar power project from Pruthvi Textile which is scheduled to be completed in the financial year 2024-25.
