Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 48.94 points or 0.07 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened at 71,297.87 signifying a gain of 225.38 points or 0.32 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.93 per cent, power gained 0.10 and auto rose by 0.53 per cent.
Meanwhile, Grasim Industries Ltd, Time Technoplast Ltd and Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Grasim Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.50 per cent to trade at Rs 910.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Time Technoplast Ltd rallied 7.08 per cent to trade at Rs 186.15 apiece. The stock rallied on the back of strong financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with net profit rising 48.67 per cent to Rs 93.11 crore on a YoY basis.
Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 7.00 per cent to trade at Rs 182.70 apiece. The company also announced its financial results for the December quarter with 38.98 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 110.28 crore.
