Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 129.82 points or 0.18 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 71,626.14 signifying a gain of 30.65 points or 0.04 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, healthcare rose by 0.86 per cent, consumer durables gained 0.73 and services rose by 0.55 per cent.
Meanwhile, Grasim Industries Ltd, Life Insurance Corporation of India and Easy Trip Planners Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Grasim Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 10.00 per cent to trade at Rs 846.55 apiece. The stock rallied as the company posted strong financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023.
Life Insurance Corporation of India rallied 6.39 per cent to trade at Rs 1149.95 apiece. The company has increased its shareholding in "Navin Fluorine International Limited” from 24,97,139 to 35,05,347 Equity Shares, i.e., 5.03 per cent to 7.07 per cent of the paid-up capital of the said Company.
Easy Trip Planners Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.31 per cent to trade at Rs 53.05 apiece. The company announces the in-principal approval of the board by proposing its newest joint venture: a luxurious 5-star hotel in the prime location of Ayodhya, strategically situated near the iconic Shree Ram Mandir.
