Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 456.93 points or 0.63 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,541.06 signifying a gain of 354.97 points or 0.49 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 1.08 per cent, power gained 0.75 and auto rose by 0.39 per cent.
Meanwhile, EIH Ltd, Lloyds Engineering Works Ltd and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
EIH Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 9.84 per cent to trade at Rs 390.10 apiece. The stock rallied on the back of robust financial performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with 54.6 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 229.9 crore.
Lloyds Engineering Works Ltd rallied 9.35 per cent to trade at Rs 57.89 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 7.15 per cent to trade at Rs 674.15 apiece. The company also announced its financial results for the December quarter with 57.96 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 26 crore.
