Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 194.48 points or 0.28 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 70,165.49 signifying a loss of 205.06 points or 0.29 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.80 per cent, power fell by 0.02 and auto rose by 0.09 per cent.
Meanwhile, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd, Pidilite Industries Ltd and Indus Towers Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Kajaria Ceramics Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.50 per cent to trade at Rs 1388.65 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Pidilite Industries Ltd rallied 4.49 per cent to trade at Rs 2636.05 apiece. The stock rallied as the company announced its financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with 66 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 511 crore on a YoY basis.
Indus Towers Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.91 per cent to trade at Rs 225.75 apiece. Indus Towers also announced its financial results for Q3FY24 with a net profit of Rs 1,541 crore as against loss of Rs 708 crore from the previous year’s corresponding quarter.
