Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 62.16 points or 0.09 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 71,023.90 signifying a loss of 476.86 points or 0.67 per cent over its previous closing. 

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.06 per cent, power fell 0.87 and auto declined by 0.24 per cent. 

Meanwhile, Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd, Marksans Pharma Ltd and Pricol Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. 

Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 10.00 per cent to trade at Rs 5596.10 apiece. The stock rallied on the back of strong financial performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with 69 per cent surge in net profit to Rs 741 crore on a YoY basis. Revenue rose by 26 per cent YoY to Rs 1,824 crore.

Marksans Pharma Ltd rallied 5.95 per cent to trade at Rs 162.85 apiece. The company recently announced that it will hold a board meeting on February 13, 2024 to consider and approve the Unaudited Financial Results of the Company (both Standalone and Consolidated) for the quarter ended December 31, 2023.

Pricol Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.87 per cent to trade at Rs 389.55 apiece. After holding an investment in Pricol Ltd for nearly a year, Minda Corp concluded its involvement with the automotive component maker. On Wednesday, Minda Corp divested its entire 15.7% stake in Pricol through an open market sale. The transaction involved the sale of 1,91,22,458 shares at an average price of Rs 345 per share, amounting to approximately Rs 660 crore, as reported in bulk deals data on the exchanges.
