Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 143.62 points or 0.20 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 71,833.90 signifying a loss of 58.58 points or 0.08 per cent over its previous closing. 

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.14 per cent, power gained 1.28 and auto rose by 0.16 per cent. 

Meanwhile, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, Adani Total Gas Ltd and VST Industries Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. 

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.93 per cent to trade at Rs 1145.00 apiece.  

Adani Total Gas Ltd rallied 7.44 per cent to trade at Rs 1075.05 apiece.  

Adani Group stocks were in focus in the pre-opening session as the Supreme Court is set to deliver a verdict on a series of petitions requesting a court-supervised inquiry into the accusations leveled by the US-based firm Hindenburg Research against the Adani group of companies concerning potential stock market violations.

VST Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 6.02 per cent to trade at Rs 4310.00 apiece. On Tuesday, ace investor Radhakishan Damani increased his holdings in VST Industries through bulk deals. As per BSE bulk deal data, Damani acquired over 2.22 lakh shares of VST Industries at an average price of ₹3,390 per share, thereby securing a 1.44% stake in the company.
