Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 97.82 points or 0.14 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened at 70,807.07 signifying a gain of 292.87 points or 0.42 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.63 per cent, power gained 0.81 and auto rose by 0.41 per cent.
Meanwhile, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, Anant Raj Ltd and Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 9.64 per cent to trade at Rs 187.60 apiece. On December 14, the company announced that it bagged an order to manufacture and supply 3,400 BOXNS wagons valuing upto Rs 1374.41 crore from the Ministry of Railways.
Anant Raj Ltd rallied 5.12 per cent to trade at Rs 311.05 apiece. In the board meeting held on Thursday, the company approved issuance of preferential equity shares and convertible warrants upto Rs 75 crore.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.00 per cent to trade at Rs 445.30 apiece. The company announced that it has completed fundraise of Rs 1,500 crore through Qualified Institutions placement (QIP) route.
