Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a slight gain of 50.89 points or 0.08 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened at 66,083.28 signifying a gain of 60.04 points or 0.09 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.11 per cent, power gained 0.70 and auto rose by 0.07 per cent.
Meanwhile, CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd and Godrej Agrovet Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6 .60 per cent to trade at Rs 499.95 apiece. The company announced that it has filed an application to set up an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test facility in India with an investment of about USD 791 million over five years.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd rallied 4.99 per cent to trade at Rs 330.50 apiece. The stock hit its upper circuit as it won a USD 2.2 billion order from the Nigerian government to develop solar infrastructure.
Godrej Agrovet Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.51 per cent to trade at Rs 512.60 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
