Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 792.87 points or 1.20 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 65,560.12 signifying a loss of 435.51 points or 0.66 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals declined by 1.10 per cent, power fell 1.85 and auto fell by 0.60 per cent.
Meanwhile, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, Apcotex Industries Ltd and Solar Industries India Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.41 per cent to trade at Rs 697.95 apiece. On October 6, the company released its operational performance update for the quarter and half year ending on September 30, 2023. The group achieved record-breaking sales of Rs 11,007.3 crore during the first half of FY24, marking a strong YoY growth of 69 per cent.
Apcotex Industries Ltd rallied 4.34 per cent to trade at Rs 521.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Solar Industries India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.03 per cent to trade at Rs 5359.95 apiece. The company announced that it has received a bulk explosive order from Coal India Ltd worth Rs 1,853 crore. The order is to be delivered within the span of two years.
