Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 74.2 points or 0.11 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened stood at 67,621.92 signifying a gain of 154.93 points or 0.23 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.39 per cent, power gained 0.54 and auto rose by 0.43 per cent.
Meanwhile, Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing CompanyL td, NIIT Ltd and Hitachi Energy India Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 17.34 per cent to trade at Rs 164.80 apiece. The stock rallied as the board approved the proposal to sell the land parcel of about 22 acres (along with the associated FSI) in Worli, Mumbai to Goisu Realty Private Limited (a subsidiary of Sumitomo Realty & Development Company Limited) in 2 phases, for a total consideration of about Rs 5,200 crore.

NIIT Ltd rallied 8.05 per cent to trade at Rs 151.90 apiece. According to market sources, Srikanth Velamakanni, co-founder, group CEO, and vice-chairman of Fractal Analytics, has been appointed to NIIT's board of directors as an Independent Director.
Hitachi Energy India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.78 per cent to trade at Rs 279.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
