Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 99.91 points or 0.15 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood flat at 65,492.21 signifying a slight gain of 13.16 points or 0.02 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.18 per cent, power fell by 0.16 and auto rose by 0.37 per cent.
Meanwhile, Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd, Torrent Power Ltd Ltd and Lic Housing Finance Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.47 per cent to trade at Rs 90.61 apiece. CARE ratings have raised the rating on Gujarat Gas' bank financing to AAA, revises outlook to stable. On Tuesday, the company announced that it will acquire 81 per cent stake in the four-wheeler business of Yachiyo Industry, a Honda Motor subsidiary.
Torrent Power Ltd rallied 2.57 per cent to trade at Rs 605.75 apiece. The company is implementing Green Hydrogen pilot project for blending with natural gas in city gas distribution (CGD) network. The pilot project, based on Alkaline Electrolyzer and expected to complete in ~8 months, will blend ~2.5 per cent GH2 into CGD network, marking an important milestone in the company's foray into GH2 business in India.

LIC Housing Finance Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 2.56 per cent to trade at Rs 399.90 apiece. The company is set to replace HDFC in the Nifty Financial Services index from July 13 as the HDFC merged with HDFC Bank with effect from July 01, 2023.
