Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 77.68 points or 0.13 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened at 62,098.29 signifying a gain of 134.61 points or 0.22 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.44 per cent, power gained 1.04 and auto rose by 0.04 per cent.
Meanwhile, Adani Wilmar Ltd, Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd and Adani Power Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Adani Wilmar Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.77 per cent to trade at Rs 470.05 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.

Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd rallied 5.00 per cent to trade at Rs 373.90 apiece. The stock jumped as the company reported excellent financial performance with 124 per cent jump in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2023.
