Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 479.71 points or 0.78 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 61,301.61 signifying a decline of 189.17 points or 0.31 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.18 per cent, power declined by 0.45 and auto fell 0.33 per cent.
Meanwhile, Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd, Spandana Sphoorty Financial Ltd and Brightcom Group Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 12.79 per cent to trade at Rs 115.05 apiece. The company announced about the board meeting to be held on May 14 to consider and approve the financial results of the company for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2023. The company has also announced issuance of bonus equity shares in its exchange filing.
Spandana Sphoorty Financial Ltd rallied 9.60 per cent to trade at Rs 692.85 apiece. The company posted an excellent quarterly performance with net profit rising to Rs 105 crore. The company aims to disburse Rs 11,500 crore in FY24.
Brightcom Group Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.93 per cent to trade at Rs 10.21 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
