Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 103.75 points or 0.17 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 59,868.49 signifying a gain of 213.43 points or 0.36 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.18 per cent, power declined by 0.19 per cent while auto was down by 0.15 per cent.
Meanwhile, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd, Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd and Mirza International Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.34 per cent to trade at Rs 551.00 apiece. On April 21, HDFC Bank announced in its exchange filing that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has allowed HDFC Bank or HDFC Limited to increase the shareholding in HDFC Life and HDFC ERGO to more than 50 percent.
Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd rallied 4.59 per cent to trade at Rs 700.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Mirza International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.30 per cent to trade at Rs 63.00 apiece. The stock has rallied more than 100 per cent in last seven trading sessions.
