These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 1,878.85 points or 3.11 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further recovered and stood at 60,386.48, signifying a slight decline of 44.52 points or 0.07 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals declined by 0.31 per cent, power was up by 0.31 per cent whereas auto gained by 0.25 per cent. IT stocks remained under pressure in the pre-opening session with BSE Information Technology opening with a loss of 4.51 per cent.
Meanwhile, Hitachi Energy India Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd and Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Hitachi Energy India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.34 per cent to trade at Rs 3299.90 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Bharti Airtel Ltd rallied 3.20 per cent to trade at Rs 791.05 apiece. Bharti Airtel and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) have announced the launch of WhatsApp Banking Services for IPPB customers, enabling them to access banking services on their mobile phone.
Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 2.93 per cent to trade at Rs 664.85 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
