Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 18.38 points. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 57,885.89 signifying gains of 256.94 points or 0.45 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.19 per cent, power strengthened by 0.63 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.52 per cent.
Meanwhile, India Pesticides Ltd, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd and Supriya Lifescience Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
India Pesticides Ltd, a S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 4.62 per cent to trade at Rs 212.90 apiece.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd, a S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 4.54 per cent to trade at Rs 3131 apiece.
As per the announcement made yesterday, the company has secured a 1200MW Solar PV Project of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited in Gujarat with an aggregate capacity of nearly 1500 MW (DC). The total bid value, including O&M for 3 years, would be approximately Rs 2,100 crore (inclusive of taxes).
Supriya Lifescience Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 3.93 per cent to trade at Rs 194.45 apiece.
