Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 122.11 points or 0.21 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 58,030.98, signifying gains of 396.14 points or 0.69 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.8 per cent, power strengthened by 1.1 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.67 per cent.
Meanwhile, Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd, Man Infraconstruction Ltd and Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd, a S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 5.31 per cent to trade at Rs 276.80 apiece. This week, the company declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share with a face value of Rs 10. The ex-date for this corporate action is March 20, 2023.
Man Infraconstruction Ltd rallied 4.41 per cent to trade at Rs 78.08 apiece.
Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 4.33 per cent to trade at Rs 33.25 apiece.
