Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 194.77 points or 0.34 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 58,373.75, signifying gains of 473.56 points or 0.82 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.61 per cent, power was trading flat whereas auto surged by 0.90 per cent.
Meanwhile, TTK Prestige Ltd, KRBL Ltd and PNC Infratech Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring PNC Infratech Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late.
Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
TTK Prestige Ltd, a S&P BSE 500 company, surged 7.15 per cent to trade at Rs 780 apiece.
KRBL Ltd rallied 5.47 per cent to trade at Rs 374 apiece.
PNC Infratech Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 5.36 per cent to trade at Rs 299.90 apiece.
This rally came on the back of an announcement made by the company yesterday. As per the exchange filing, the company emerged as the L1 (Lowest) bidder in a National Highways Authority of India's (NHAI) highway project namely "Construction of 6-lane Greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway" with a bid project cost of Rs 1260 crore.
