Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 738.06 points or 1.25 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading flat at the level of 59,136.10, signifying gains of 97 points.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.26 per cent, power strengthened by 0.70 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.30 per cent.
Meanwhile, Tech Mahindra Ltd, Adani Transmission Ltd and Adani Green Energy Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Tech Mahindra Ltd, a constituent of BSE Sensex, surged 5.08 per cent to trade at Rs 1115 apiece. This rally comes after the company appointed Mohit Joshi (former president of Infosys Ltd) as the MD and CEO of Tech Mahindra Ltd.
Adani Transmission Ltd, a S&P BSE 200 company, rallied 5 per cent to trade at Rs 949 apiece.
Adani Green Energy Ltd, another S&P BSE 200 company, climbed 5 per cent to trade at Rs 717.20 apiece.
The rally in Adani Group companies can be attributed to the announcement made by the company last week. As per media sources, Adani Group had announced prepayment of share-backed financing of Rs 7,374 crore, which was ahead of its latest maturity in April 2025. Moreover, promoter leverage has been brought down in the following Adani Group companies- Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises, Adani Transmission and Adani Green Energy.
