Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 283 points or 0.46 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 60,382.16, signifying gains of 34.07 points or 0.06 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.44 per cent, power strengthened by 0.93 per cent whereas auto was trading flat.
Meanwhile, Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd, Adani Green Energy Ltd and Adani Transmission Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd, a S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 8.37 per cent to trade at Rs 15.80 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Adani Green Energy Ltd, a S&P BSE 200 company, rallied 5 per cent to trade at Rs 650.55 apiece.
Adani Transmission Ltd, another S&P BSE 200 company, climbed 5 per cent to trade at Rs 860.85 apiece.
The rally in Adani Group companies can be attributed to the announcement made by the company on Tuesday. As per media sources, Adani Group had announced prepayment of share-backed financing of Rs 7,374 crore, which was ahead of its latest maturity in April 2025. Moreover, promoter leverage has been brought down in the following Adani Group companies- Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises, Adani Transmission and Adani Green Energy.
