Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 78.62 points or 0.13 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 59,119.24, signifying gains of 157.12 points or 0.27 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals, power and auto surged by 0.1 per cent each.
Meanwhile, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd, Adani Power Ltd and EPL Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Kajaria Ceramics Ltd, a S&P BSE 500 company, surged 6.45 per cent to trade at Rs 1139.95 apiece.
Adani Power Ltd, a S&P BSE 100 company, rallied 4.98 per cent to trade at Rs 153.75 apiece.
EPL Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 4.35 per cent to trade at Rs 166.90 apiece.
