Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 146.73 points or 0.24 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 59,311.96, signifying gains of 23.61 points or 0.04 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were down by 0.07 per cent, power weakened by 0.20 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.30 per cent.
Meanwhile, GATI Ltd, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd and Best Agrolife Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
GATI Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 4.42 per cent to trade at Rs 115.65 apiece. This rally comes ahead of the company's analyst/ institutional investor meeting, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, an S&P BSE 100 company, rallied 3.83 per cent to trade at Rs 190 apiece. Last week, the NSE withdrew its decision to exclude of F&O contracts on Zee.
Best Agrolife Ltd, a pesticides and agrochemicals company, climbed 3.76 per cent to trade at Rs 1147.95 apiece. Last week, Seedlings India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company received a patent for an invention of a synergistic herbicidal composition for the term of 20 years. The new patent is a combination of Ametryn+2, and 4D+Halosulfuron methyl used for the control of weeds in sugarcane as pre, early post, and post-emergent herbicide.
