Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 165.29 points or 0.27 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 60,622.63, signifying gains of 190.79 points or 0.32 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were up by 0.25 per cent, power weakened by 1 per cent whereas auto was trading flat.
Meanwhile, National Fertilizers Ltd, Mirza International Ltd and The New India Assurance Company Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
National Fertilizers Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 15.02 per cent to trade at Rs 63.95 apiece. The company announced its Q3FY23 results yesterday. The company's topline grew to Rs 10,170 crore from Rs 5,092 crore in Q3FY22.
Mirza International Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 8.80 per cent to trade at Rs 246 apiece. This surge comes after the company's announcement of Q3FY23 results. The company's total revenues stood at Rs 596.15 crore.
The New India Assurance Company Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 3.81 per cent to trade at Rs 104.85 apiece. The company reported its Q3FY23 results yesterday. As per the exchange filing, the ICR for the period improved to 94.70 per cent from 99.48 per cent. Property line of business performed well and the health line of business showed improved results during the period. Adverse development of claims in crop line of business and severe competition in motor line of business adversely impacted the results during the period.
