Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 35.91 points or 0.05 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading flat at the level of 60,664.14.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were up by 0.06 per cent, power and auto were trading flat.
Meanwhile, Adani Wilmar Ltd, Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd and Venky's (India) Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Adani Wilmar Ltd, an S&P 200 SmallCap company, surged 5 per cent to trade at Rs 440.30 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced its Q3FY23 results. In Q3FY23, Adani Wilmar Limited recorded 16 per cent volume growth and 7 per cent revenue growth. Profit after tax grew by 16 per cent YoY.
Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 4.92 per cent to trade at Rs 97.10 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced its Q3FY23 results. During the quarter, the company's consolidated topline grew by 49.37 per cent YoY whereas PAT grew by 89 per cent.
Venky's (India) Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 4.88 per cent to trade at Rs 1902.05 apiece. This rally comes ahead of the company's board meeting which is set to be held tomorrow to approve the Q3FY23 results.
