Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 108.92 points or 0.18 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 60,402.71, signifying gains of 116.67 points or 0.19 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were down by 0.21 per cent, power weakened by 0.33 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.24 per cent.
Meanwhile, Kiri Industries Ltd, Thermax Ltd and Everest Kanto Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Kiri Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 7.21 per cent to trade at Rs 327.90 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced that the Singapore International Commercial Court ('SICC') shall deliver the judgement on valuation of the company's stake in DyStar today i.e. on February 8, 2023.
Thermax Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 4.91 per cent to trade at Rs 2098 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced its Q3FY23 results. As per the exchange filing, the company reported a consolidated operating revenue of Rs 2,049 crore, up by 27 per cent YoY. Profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 126 crore, up by 59 per cent as compared to Rs 79 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 2021-22.
Everest Kanto Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 4.70 per cent to trade at Rs 85.85 apiece. This surge comes ahead of the company's board meeting, which is set to be held today to announce the Q3FY23 results.
