Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 43.78 points or 0.07 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index weakened to 60,626.25, signifying loss of 215.63 points or 0.35 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were down by 0.24 per cent, power weakened by 1.32 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.12 per cent.
Meanwhile, Indus Towers Ltd, Vodafone Idea Ltd and Brightcom Group Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Indus Towers Ltd, an S&P BSE 100 company, surged 10 per cent to trade at Rs 157.65 apiece. Last week, the company had made an intimation of repayment of commercial paper.
Vodafone Idea Ltd, an S&P BSE 200 company, rallied 9.87 per cent to trade at Rs 7.57 apiece. This rally comes on the back of a significant announcement made by the company on Friday. Ministry of Communications, Government of India has directed the company to convert the NPV of the interest related to deferment of spectrum auction instalments and AGR Dues into equity shares to be issued to the Government of India.
Brightcom Group Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 8.39 per cent to trade at Rs 29.70 apiece. On Saturday, the company announced its Q3FY23 results. As per the exchange filing, the company reported a strong quarter, with consolidated revenues of Rs 2865.17 crore and PAT of Rs 543.93 crore for Q3 FY22-23.
