Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 46.81 points or 0.07 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further weakened to 60,063.01, signifying loss of 142.05 points or 0.24 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.32 per cent, power weakened by 1.45 per cent whereas auto surged by 1 per cent.
Meanwhile, Orient Electric Ltd, Jindal Saw Ltd and Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Orient Electric Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 6.45 per cent to trade at Rs 278.75 apiece. This rally comes ahead of the company's board meeting, which is set to be held on Monday, inter alia, to consider and approve the Q3FY23 results.
Jindal Saw Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 6.37 per cent to trade at Rs 116.90 apiece. On January 25, the company released its Quarterly Results. As per the exchange filing, the company's consolidated topline grew by nearly 50 per cent to Rs 5202 crore. Further, PAT increased to Rs 143.23 crore in Q3FY23 from Rs 0.68 crore in Q3FY22.
Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 5.19 per cent to trade at Rs 288.85 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence the rally in its share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
