Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 369.72 points or 0.62 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 60,871.98, signifying gains of 250.21 points or 0.41 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.36 per cent, power strengthened by 0.08 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.23 per cent.
Meanwhile, Medplus Health Services Ltd, Sportking India Ltd and Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Sportking India Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Medplus Health Services Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 6.12 per cent to trade at Rs 663 apiece. Last week, the company provided an intimation of Board meeting for announcement of Q3FY23 results. Apart from this, the company has not made any significant announcements of late.
Sportking India Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 4.43 per cent to trade at Rs 695.90 apiece. This week, the company is going to announce its Q3FY23 results.
Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 4.32 per cent to trade at Rs 64 apiece. The company had announced its Q3FY23 results last week.
