Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 275.69 points or 0.45 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 60,859.36, signifying loss of 186.38 points or 0.31 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.61 per cent, power was trading flat whereas auto slipped by 0.40 per cent.
Meanwhile, Steel Exchange India Ltd, Shoppers Stop Ltd and Yasho Industries Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Steel Exchange India Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 3.52 per cent to trade at Rs 15.01 apiece. Yesterday, the company reported that Care Rating Limited has issued a rating for the company's Non-Convertible Debentures. The ratings are CARE BB; Stable (Double B; Outlook: Stable) with a positive outlook.
Shoppers Stop Ltd rallied 3.46 per cent to trade at Rs 710 apiece. The rally comes ahead of the company's Q3FY23 results announcement, which will be done on Monday.
Yasho Industries Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 3.11 per cent to trade at Rs 1659.90 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
