Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 85.02 points or 0.14 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading flat at the level of 60,657.17.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were down by 0.06 per cent, power strengthened by 0.1 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.11 per cent.
Meanwhile, National Standard India Ltd, V-Mart Retail Ltd and Rupa & Company Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
National Standard India Ltd, surged 10 per cent to trade at Rs 8291.70 apiece. With this, the company's shares have hit their upper circuit. Last week, the company announced its Q3FY23 results. As per the exchange filing, the company's topline grew by approximately 100 per cent.
V-Mart Retail Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 7.85 per cent to trade at Rs 3080 apiece. Yesterday, in a bulk deal transaction, Amansa Holdings Private Ltd bought over 1.6 lakh shares of V-Mart at Rs 2800 apiece.
Rupa & Company Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 5.24 per cent to trade at Rs 287 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
