Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 318.61 points or 0.51 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 62,251.63, signifying gains of 121.06 points or 0.19 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.31 per cent, power strengthened by 0.13 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.41 per cent.
Meanwhile, KEC International Ltd, Jaiprakash Associates Ltd and Thyrocare Technologies Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
KEC International Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 5.96 per cent to trade at Rs 496 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced that it has secured new orders of Rs 1,349 crore across its various businesses.
Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 5.62 per cent to trade at Rs 12.40 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced the divestment of the Cement, Clinker and Power Plants having an aggregate cement capacity of 9.4 MnTPA along with clinker capacity of 6.7 MnTPA and thermal power plants of aggregate capacity of 280 MW, to Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), wholly owned subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited, for an aggregate Enterprise Value of Rs 5,666 crore. The said plants are situated at Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Thyrocare Technologies Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 3.77 per cent to trade at Rs 638 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
