Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 177.75 points or 0.28 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 62,637.41, signifying gains of 11.05 points or 0.02 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were up by 0.12 per cent, whereas auto and power were trading flat.
Meanwhile, Transport Corporation Of India Ltd, Garware Technical Fibres Ltd and Jindal Stainless Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Jindal Stainless Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Transport Corporation Of India Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 3.32 per cent to trade at Rs 686.75 apiece.
Garware Technical Fibres Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 3.09 per cent to trade at Rs 3499.95 apiece.
Jindal Stainless Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 3.07 per cent to trade at Rs 203.15 apiece. The company's investor conference is set to be held today.
