Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 542.22 points or 0.86 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 62,586.94, signifying loss of 247.66 points or 0.39 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.25 per cent, power strengthened by 0.16 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.33 per cent.
Meanwhile, Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd, Puravankara Ltd and Astra Microwave Products Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 3.19 per cent to trade at Rs 181 apiece. This rally comes ahead of the company's board meeting, which is set to be held on Friday, December 9, 2022.
Puravankara Ltd, rallied 2.74 per cent to trade at Rs 99.50 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in its share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Astra Microwave Products Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 2.45 per cent to trade at Rs 314 apiece. The surge in the share price comes ahead of the company's board meeting, which is set to be held on Friday, December 9, 2022.
