Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 225.86 points or 0.36 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 62,575.70, signifying gains of 70.9 points or 0.11 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.7 per cent, power weakened by 0.1 per cent whereas auto was trading flat.
Meanwhile, ICRA Ltd, Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd and Astec Lifesciences Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
ICRA Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 5.20 per cent to trade at Rs 4450 apiece.
Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd, from speciality chemicals space, rallied 4.51 per cent to trade at Rs 2346 apiece.
Astec Lifesciences Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 3.30 per cent to trade at Rs 2149.95 apiece.
