Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 332.08 points or 0.53 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 62,144.40, signifying loss of 149.24 points or 0.24 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.54 per cent, power weakened by 0.57 per cent whereas auto was trading flat.
Meanwhile, Rhi Magnesita India Ltd, Ami Organics Ltd and IG Petrochemicals Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Ami Organics Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Rhi Magnesita India Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 5.42 per cent to trade at Rs 813.95 apiece.
Ami Organics Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 4.93 per cent to trade at Rs 939.95 apiece. This surge comes on the back of an important announcement made by the company on Saturday. As per the exchange filing, the company has signed a definitive multi-year, multi-tonne agreement with Fermion, a fully owned subsidiary of Orion Corporation, Finland, for supply of an intermediate, for their patented product.
As per the supply projections of Fermion, the total minimum contract value is expected to be multi-million Euro, spread across a 10-year horizon. The product is expected to start contributing meaningfully to the revenue (of Ami Organics) from FY24.
I G Petrochemicals Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 3.98 per cent to trade at Rs 543.80 apiece.
