Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 320.05 points or 0.51 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 62,255.11, signifying loss of 17.57 points or 0.03 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were down by 0.1 per cent, power was trading flat whereas auto surged by 0.15 per cent.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Seamless Ltd, Sheela Foam Ltd and PB Fintech Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Maharashtra Seamless Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 7.23 per cent to trade at Rs 417.40 apiece. The rally in share price comes ahead of the bonus issue of shares in the ratio 1:1 by the company. Today is the ex-date for this corporate action.
Sheela Foam Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 3.85 per cent to trade at Rs 2799.95 apiece. Last Friday, the company had provided an update on the scheme of amalgamation of International Comfort Technologies Private Limited ('ICTPL' or 'Transferor Company') with Sheela Foam Limited ('SFL' or 'Transferee Company') and their respective shareholders and creditors. Besides that, no significant announcement has been made by the company as of now.
PB Fintech Ltd, an S&P BSE 200 company, climbed 2.97 per cent to trade at Rs 445.05 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements. Hence, the rally in its share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
