Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 142.41 points or 0.23 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 61,635.84, signifying gains of 125.26 points or 0.20 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were trading flat, power strengthened by 0.4 per cent whereas the capital goods index surged by 0.2 per cent.
Meanwhile, Neogen Chemicals Ltd, Venky's (India) Ltd and H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
Neogen Chemicals Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 4.18 per cent to trade at Rs 1,355 apiece.
Venky's (India) Ltd, rallied 3.82 per cent to trade at Rs 1900 apiece.
H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 3.76 per cent to trade at Rs 595.35 apiece. Yesterday, the company received a letter from Adani Road Transport Limited regarding the declaration of the appointed date for a project in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This project pertains to the execution of civil & associated works on an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) basis. The contract price stands at Rs 4,970.99 crore.
