Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 446.90 points or 0.78 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 58,162.74, signifying gains of 927.41 points or 1.62 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by over 1 per cent, power strengthened by 1.4 per cent while auto surged by 0.8 per cent.
Meanwhile, Infosys, Shankara Building Products, and NIIT emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Infosys Ltd, an S&P BSE Sensex company, surged 4.79 per cent to trade at Rs 1,487.70 apiece. On Thursday, the company reported its results for the quarter Q2FY23. As per the exchange filing, the company's revenue grew 23.4 per cent YoY to Rs 36,538 crore.
Shankara Building Products Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 4.69 per cent to trade at Rs 761.25 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in its share price could be driven purely by market forces.
NIIT Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 4.55 per cent to trade at Rs 308.80 apiece. On Wednesday, the company reported that a meeting of the unsecured creditors of NIIT Limited shall be held on November 15 (Tuesday).
