Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 259.73 points or 0.45 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 57,491.70, signifying a loss of 134.21 points or 0.23 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.6 per cent, power strengthened by 0.26 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.17 per cent.
Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel, Apollo Pipes, and Astec Lifesciences emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Bharti Airtel, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
Bharti Airtel Ltd, a telecom company, surged 5.34 per cent to trade at Rs 406.60 apiece. On October 6, 2022, the company launched Airtel 5G plus in eight cities.
Apollo Pipes Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 4.25 per cent to trade at Rs 538.95 apiece.
Astec Lifesciences Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 3.85 per cent to trade at Rs 2,076.05 apiece.
