Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 671.31 points or 1.19 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 57,079.79, signifying gains of 481.51 points or 0.85 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.85 per cent, power strengthened by 0.9 per cent, and auto surged by 0.8 per cent.
Meanwhile, Century Enka Ltd, V-Guard Industries Ltd, and Forbes & Company Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Forbes & Company Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
Century Enka Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 7.79 per cent to trade at Rs 460 apiece.
V-Guard Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 5.86 per cent to trade at Rs 244.65 apiece.
Forbes & Company Ltd climbed 5 per cent to trade at Rs 804.35 apiece. On Monday, the company announced that its shareholders approved the scheme of arrangement between Forbes & Company Limited (FCL or the ‘demerged company') and Forbes Precision Tools & Machine Parts Limited (FPTL or the 'resulting company').
