Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 0.07 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 59,912.29, signifying gains of 119.15 points or 0.2 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.5 per cent, power was trading flat while auto surged 0.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, Cera Sanitaryware, Titagarh Wagons, and Fairchem Organics emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Titagarh Wagons, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Cera Sanitaryware Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 5.35 per cent to trade at Rs 5,850 apiece.
Titagarh Wagons Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company rallied 4.63 per cent to trade at Rs 163.75 apiece. On Sunday, the company reported that the Government of Italy, through its investment arm – Invitalia has taken a strategic stake in Titagarh Firema Spa (TFA), the subsidiary of Titagarh Wagons Limited. Along with this, a private equity fund based out of UAE i.e. Hawk Eye DMCC has invested Euro 4.5 million and acquired 13.64 per cent equity share capital of the company.
Fairchem Organics Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 4.11 per cent to trade at Rs 2,078.60 apiece.
