Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 134.06 points or 0.23 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 59,498.55, signifying gains of 469.64 points or 0.80 per cent. 

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.4 per cent, power strengthened by 0.75 per cent while auto surged 0.6 per cent. 

Meanwhile, Sonata Software, Bharti Airtel, and RattanIndia Power emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.  

Sonata Software Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 10.25 per cent to trade at Rs 591 apiece. Today is the ex-date for the company's bonus issue of shares in the ratio of 1:3. 

Meanwhile, the telecom company Bharti Airtel Ltd rallied 5.46 per cent to trade at Rs 394 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.   

RattanIndia Power Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 4.86 per cent to trade at Rs 5.18 apiece. On Wednesday, the company informed that its fifteenth AGM is set to be held on September 30, 2022.
