Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the first hour today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the first market hour today.
At 10:30 am, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex stood at 64,476.15, signifying a gain of 395.25 points or 0.61 per cent over its previous closing of 64,080.90.
On the sectoral front, metals rose by 0.60 per cent, power gained 0.63 and auto rose by 0.99 per cent.
Meanwhile, Vakrangee Ltd, Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd and Network18 Media & Investments Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the first hour of the market today.
Vakrangee Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 8.01 per cent to trade at Rs 19.02 apiece. The company has partnered with Karnataka Bank for providing Business Correspondent banking services on pan India basis.The partnership will offer digital and assisted banking services to the remotest parts of the country.
Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd rallied 7.72 per cent to trade at Rs 112.30 apiece. The company posted robust financial performance for the quarter ended September 30, 2023 with net profit rising 159.11 per cent to Rs 1,051.68 crore.
Network18 Media & Investments Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 7.36per cent to trade at Rs 72.50 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
