Top three small-cap stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 358.29 points or 0.63 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 57,594.96, signifying gains of 806.15 points or 1.42 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 1.87 per cent, power strengthened by over 2 per cent while auto surged by 1.15 per cent.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Bank, Apollo Pipes, and Hindware Home Innovation emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Karnataka Bank, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
Karnataka Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 5.94 per cent to trade at Rs 82.05 apiece. On Saturday, the bank reported a special campaign for home, car, and gold loans.
Apollo Pipes Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 5.76 per cent to trade at Rs 554.95 apiece.
Hindware Home Innovation Ltd, also from the Small-Cap space, climbed 4.6 per cent to trade at Rs 389.90 apiece.
