These multi-baggers of 2021 tanked up to 60 per cent in 2022, so far!

We have identified some small-cap stocks that soared attractively in 2021, gaining up to 2,500 per cent but recorded a negative performance in 2022, so far.

In a nutshell, in the year 2021, BSE Sensex advanced around 10,000 points in a single year and is qualified to be one of the best years for BSE. Comparing BSE Sensex with ten major world indices across nine countries shows that it displayed the best performance among major Asian economies in 2021. The small-cap stocks that are comparatively more volatile than the Large-Cap and Mid-Cap space returned the investors' handsome gains with some stocks turning into Multi-baggers for 2021.  

Just when investors were beginning to cheer once again post the COVID-19 falls in the market; in 2022, the equity markets went through a lot of volatility. Things took a downward motion with Sensex falling 12.34 per cent and Nifty 50 index declining 11.87 per cent in 2022, so far. BSE Smallcap index tumbled around 19.8 per cent in 2022, so far; whereas in 2021, the same index gained around 61 per cent.
