These 3 small-cap companies gained over 5 per cent in a rising market; do you hold them?

These stocks from S&P BSE 250 SmallCap space were trading in the green after strong demand from buyers.

The benchmark index S&P BSE 250 SmallCap Index opened at 3,794.97 and made its day high at 3,840.63, and it is currently trading in green with an up move by more than 1.10 per cent.     

From the same space, these are the top 3 companies that outperformed the benchmark index and were up by more than 5 per cent today.      

Shares of Aptus Value Housing Finance India Limited were trading up by more than 8.2 per cent on BSE today. The scrip closed on Friday at Rs 236.60 and opened on Monday at Rs 238.00 a piece. Shares touched their day high today at Rs 260 after the surge. The 52-week high of the stock stood at Rs 392.80, whereas the 52-week low is Rs 221.20. Presently, the promoters are holding a 62.21 per cent stake in the company and the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 16.62 per cent and 21.16 per cent, respectively.      

Another top player today is Privi Speciality Chemicals Limited. Shares were trading up by more than 7.10 per cent on BSE during the day. The stock opened at Rs 961.20 a piece and touched its day high today at Rs 1,033.00. The 52-week high of Privi Speciality Chemicals Limited is at Rs 2,193.80, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 870.55. The promoters are holding around 74.05 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 4.17 per cent and 21.79 per cent, respectively.      

One more top gainer today which shot up by 7 per cent is Mahanagar Gas Limited. The stock opened at Rs 926 and touched its 52-week high today at Rs 983.60. On Friday, the shares closed at Rs 906.60 a piece. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 983.60, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 666.35. Currently, the promoters are holding about 32.50 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 55.34 per cent and 12.15 per cent, respectively.
