The Indian Hume Pipe disappoints with Q3FY18 numbers
The Indian Hume Pipe reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2017 on Thursday.
The company's standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 357.56 crore, registering a decline of 12.7 per cent YoY. This was primarily due to 15.7 per cent YoY decline in revenue of construction contracts, including water supply schemes, pipe supply and laying projects.
Its EBITDA for the quarter fell by 15.7 per cent YoY to Rs 36.64 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 36 bps. The EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 10.2 per cent. This margin contraction was on account of jump in cost of materials by 10.8 per cent YoY.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs 14.68 crore, a decline of 17.5 per cent YoY.
The established balance value of the work as on January 31, 2018 was Rs 3,36,705 lakh, as against Rs. 3,03,829 lakh as on January 31, 2017.
