Textile stocks surges; Arvind, Raymond hit 52-week high
Textile stocks found immense impetus on the bourses in the intraday trade on Tuesday. The heavyweights of the industry including Raymonds, Arvind, Welspun India, Vardhman Textiles and Bombay Rayon Fashions charted steep hike on the bourses during the day.
While the share price of Raymond, Arvind and Bombay Rayon Fashions surged over 4 per cent during the trade, Welspun India and Vardhman Textiles were also up by over 1 per cent on BSE.
Arvind hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs. 466 per share, up by 4.3 per cent, and Raymond also hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs. 1141 per share, up by 4.85 per cent, during the trade. Bombay Rayon Fashions, up by 4.99 per cent breached its upper circuit of Rs. 106.35 per share on BSE.
Meanwhile, Welspun India hit an intraday high of Rs. 73.95 per share, higher by 2.99 per cent and Vardhman Textiles hit an intraday high of Rs. 1431 per share, higher by 1.37 per cent on BSE.
The broader markets remained flat during the trade. At 1048 hours IST, S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 34,427.85 level, higher by 0.22 per cent and NSE Nifty50 was trading at 10,631.25 level, higher by 0.07 per cent at the same time.
