During the month of January 2022, domestic mutual fund industry saw redemption worth Rs 18,346.45 crore from equity dedicated mutual funds compared to Rs 17,722.45 crore that we saw in the month of December 2021. Analysis of the data shows that fund managers are lightening their position from the energy and technology sector including some of the recently listed companies. Shares from the PSU basket from the energy sector were at the receiving end, as it was the most offloaded sector by mutual fund managers in January 2022. Out of the top ten stocks where MFs are net sellers, two are from the energy sector.
